Carmex ML Boring Bars and Adapters for Internal Machining and Grooving

Carmex Precision Tools Ltd introduced ML boring bars and adapters for internal applications of threading and grooving. These tools can be used in a wide range of turning and multi-task machines and are particularly suited for deep threads which require a high overhang with maximum rigidity. They are designed with internal coolant allowing high pressure up to 120 Bar, which reduces the cutting-edge temperature, and improves tool life through superior chip evacuation. The tools can also be used with normal coolant pressure.

The high accurate turning ML adaptors provide full flexibility, easy adjustment, and full repeatability. A single boring bar fits to multi ML adaptors and also reduces tool inventories (investing in a single boring bar, right and left-hand ML adaptors from the same size). It supports all Carmex standard thread turning inserts sizes 16, 22 and 27 mm. Grooving inserts size 16 mm fit the MLR/L 16 - 32 and MLR / L 16 - 40 adaptors. The adaptors are coated with a high abrasive resistant nickel layer to prolong its tool life.

The modular line (ML) turning adaptors available in right hand and left-hand tool holders, with product identification ordering codes as MLR and MLL respectively, with adaptor diameters ø25, ø32 and ø40 mm.  The Modular Line Shank (MLS) boring bars are with internal toolholder round shank (ø25, ø32 and ø40 mm), and the length of toolholder are 200 mm(R), 250 mm(S), and 300 mm(T).
