DIJET’s New Range of Indexable Cutter for Hardened Materials

Manufacturer of cemented carbide tools, DIJET Industrial Co., Ltd, Japan, introduced its new series expansion, with large size body & R2/R3 insert for ‘SHOULDER EXTREME’. This indexable cutter, EXSAP / MSX type achieves greater efficiency and high precision shoulder milling. The new cutter has a maximum depth of cut of 15mm and is usable for wide applications such as face milling, slotting, and plunging. With its feature of arc-geometry on the periphery cutting edge, the cusp height can be smaller even in case of large depth of cut and achieve seamless machining for vertical walls.

EXSAP / MSX is economical double-side insert (four corners), with corner R-size R0.4, R0.8, and R1.6. Due to high precision G class periphery grinding, applicable to not only the roughing process but also the semi-finishing process. In addition to adopting low cutting force 3D chipbreaker insert with powerful edge, due to the unique clamp system possible to mount an insert firmly, help achieve highly efficient machining in roughing. Furthermore, in this series, two forms of insert grades are also available, namely PVD coated grade ‘JC8050’ & ‘JC8118’. The first grade has properties of fracture toughness coupled with wear resistance, but the latter provides high versatility and can be widely applied such as general and mold steel and highly hardened die steel less than 50HRC.
