Marposs lately launched its new Artis GEMGP stand-alone solution for detecting process anomalies during metal cutting in machine tools. By measuring force and strain, GEMGP is able to detect and report on tool breakage, missing tools, overload, tool wear and fluid flow (fluid pressure) in real time.
Up to two sensors for strain, force or flow are connectable. A parallel operation of several modules at one visualization is possible (MultiView). Depending on the application, three different monitoring strategies can be selected (Static, Dynamic or Area).
Benefits of the GEMGP Module
- Two real-time measuring signals can be evaluated (e.g. strain, force or 0-10V sensor signals)
- Wide variety of different sensors can be connected
- 127 different cycles can be managed
- Easy to integrate by digital I/O-interface
- Measurement data can be transferred via ETHERNET (TCP/IP) for visualization or for further evaluations (e.g. CSV)
- Customized visualization by MultiView (parallel operation of several modules on one VISU)
- Performing complete process visualization and documentation
- Process 'comparison function' for analysis and prediction
- Event data recording (blackbox function)
- Suitable for all types of machine tools, robots, assembly, or handling systems, etc.
- Can integrated into GENIOR MODULAR Tool and Process Monitoring
